Who knew benches could stir up so much creativity? “Pile isle” is a unique project which belongs to designers Elena Goray and Christoph Tönges. How did they manage to create such an unusual urban seating piece? Easy. By piling up a bundle of bamboo sticks and tying them together with the help of some stainless steel belts. Apparently there was no glue or screw used. We would absolutely love to see such benches spread around town, wouldn’t you? Sure, they could come up with a sustainable solution like some sort of a replica made from a different material.
