This exotic looking residence comes from SPG Architects and is located in Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica. Just a few steps away from the sea, this home also features a breathtaking infinity pool, a good reason for the inhabitants to relax and enjoy the views. The architects didn’t build this structure form scratch, but decided to salvage an existing steel framework that was situated on the Costa Rican coastal hillside. The results?- you are looking at them: a fabulous home with amazing interiors, contemporary furniture and a beautiful, modern interior design. For today we decided to show you this bright and charming apartment located in Gothenburg, Sweden. This beautiful crib consists of three rooms plus kitchen and has a total surface of 108 square meter. The loft has a generous 3,1 meter ceiling, large rooms and a vintage but very stylish fireplace. The living room is the focal point of this home and features a large sofa perfect for having friends over, a cozy reading corner, fresh flower arrangements and wide windows that ensure a large amount of natural light. The kitchen has a welcoming dining table, plenty of storage space and unobstructed views of the city. A king-size bed, deep window niches and built-in storage space turn the bedroom into a peaceful retreat.

We have to say this home acted as a reminder that we should enjoy summer while it lasts. Painted entirely in white, this beautiful residence located in Costa Brava, Spain, inspires tranquility and warmth. A welcoming outdoor garden with playful and comfortable furniture greets its guests while in the same time creating a general idea of how this place feels. Even though we consider combining modern architecture with that of old constructions can be very tricky and sometimes unsuccessful, the Flag Residence, a 200 year old farmhouse, looks incredible with this new contemporary addition from Propeller Z. The home is located in Fahndorf, Austria within a beautiful and friendly natural landscape so the project had to be in consonance with the environmental factor. While the rest of the home seems to be buried in the ground, the new construction is elevated, which is said to create a connection with the other homes nearby. We particularly like the wood stack, as it gives this extension a warm and rustic feel. The addition houses a kitchen and a living room and features large floor to ceiling windows for a good indoor/outdoor communication. Here is an interesting idea for storing books and a whole bunch of other objects that would otherwise be left unorganized. Hillside Modular Shelving System was designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune for the company Arflex and is both efficient and interesting looking. Individual cabinets are placed together to form beautiful and unique shelving units, reminding of hills and valleys, each time with a different format. Blue, yellow, black or red, this furniture idea could be a great addition for a contemporary interior and could do wonders when it comes to brightening up the room. This beautiful forest retreat was designed by Olson Kundig Architects and is located in the North of the San Juan islands within the Salish Sea. It is a single room cabin, meant as a gateway for a bachelor. You will notice the interior is minimalist, but has a high level of comfort. We particularly like the sliding exterior “wall’ that can isolate the windows when needed in order to create shade or simply determine seclusion. The judges that offered Tom Kundig a Residential Architect award for this particular cabin design described the original sliding panel as follows: “The panel —operated by hand like a barn door— is commodity steel pulled off a stack before fabrication. Kundig, FAIA, let the lettering stand as “an authentic mark of its history and in the spirit of allowing materials to age naturally with no ‘protective’ coating that needs maintenance.” What other interesting elements did you observe?
