the legendary automotive team at pininfarina has turned its attention to compact ecologically minded
vehicles like the newly design nido ev. the new electric vehicle is designed as a modular platform that
updates the previous nido city car from 2004. the car could be made in two seat and four seat
configurations in addition to truck and van bodies. this two-seat prototype uses a 30-kilowatt magnet
electric motor powered by a nickel-salt zebra battery, which has high energy density and a high operating
temperature. zebra batteries are also fully recyclable and contain no toxic materials. such a configuration
would give the nido ev a range of 140 km.
